In The Name of God, The Vastly Merciful, The Merciful
God, The Exalted, said,
ٱتَّبِعُوا۟ مَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكُم مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا۟ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ أَوْلِيَآءَ قَلِيلًا مَّا تَذَكَّرُونَ
“Follow what has been sent down to you from your Lord and do not follow besides Him allies. Little do you remember.”
The Qur’an 7:3
This is a collection of writings by myself, passing on that knowledge which has been passed on to me. Writings are first of all for myself in my seeking knowledge which God has obligated upon us, and then for others such that I might avoid being sinful for withholding knowledge.
“And when God took the covenant from those who were given The Book, ‘You must make it clear to the people and not conceal it.’ But they threw it away behind their backs and purchased with it a small price. And wretched is that which they purchased.”
The Qur’ān 3:187
I will make mistakes and err, if you spot any then please comment or email me and I will correct them, if God wills.
“O you who have believed, obey God and obey The Messenger and those in authority over you. And if you disagree among yourselves in anything then refer it back to God and The Messenger if you truly believe in God and The Last Day. That is better and the most excellent outcome.
The Qur’an 4:59

Our Methodology in Translation
God, The Exalted, said,
وَإِنْ أَحَدٌ مِّنَ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ ٱسْتَجَارَكَ فَأَجِرْهُ حَتَّىٰ يَسْمَعَ كَلَٰمَ ٱللَّهِ ثُمَّ أَبْلِغْهُ مَأْمَنَهُۥ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌ لَّا يَعْلَمُونَ
“And if one from the Polytheists seeks your protection, then grant him protection until he hears The Speech of God. Then deliver him to his place of safety. That is because they are a people who do not know.”
The Qur’an 9:6
And He said,
وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا بِلِسَانِ قَوْمِهِۦ لِيُبَيِّنَ لَهُمْ فَيُضِلُّ ٱللَّهُ مَن يَشَآءُ وَيَهْدِى مَن يَشَآءُ وَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ
“And We did not send any messenger except in the language of his people that him make clear for them. and God sends astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And He is The Honourable and Mighty, The Wise.”
The Qur’an 14:4
In translation we want to keep as much as possible to a literal translation from Arabic into English that people may understand as best a possible what their Lord has sent down. If we know there is a narration (from The Qur’an or The Prophetic Way (Sunnah)) that has defined the meaning of a Verse or Word besides the normal understanding in the language, then this meaning will be added in brackets () around the literal wording. This way, we wish to convey as best as possible the understanding of The Revelation as would have been understood by the Arabic Speaker at the time of revelation, in the light of the explanation in The Qur’an and the explanation of God’s Messenger.
God, The Exalted, said,
وَأَنزَلْنَآ إِلَيْكَ ٱلذِّكْرَ لِتُبَيِّنَ لِلنَّاسِ مَا نُزِّلَ إِلَيْهِمْ وَلَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ
“And We have sent down to you (Muhammad) The Remembrance that you make clear to the people what was sent down to them and that they might give thought.”
We may also add in brackets () something not present in the wording that aids understanding to non Arabic Speakers who do not know a particular grammar point or depth of meaning of a particular word not found in the English Language, for example.
